Nobody could afford a 50/50 split. Not even TX which generates like$200M

I guess if you cut all players benefits so they had to pay for everything including gym usage , clothes, tutors etc. this is not an easy thing. A ton of schools would just walk away from all athletics. Can’t treat players differently than other employees not without massive lawsuits and athletics isn’t worth that much for billion dollar budgets
