Wisconsin is the #2 B10 research school? No. UIUC/UM, then Purdue, then others
like Wisconsin and Penn State.
The B12 schools are all AAU, but AAU means dregs of the "top" schools. The truly top schools don't care to be AAU since that's beneath them. Wisconsin is a great school, but UIUC and UM don't consider Wisconsin to be in their class.
