This notion (widespread among UU fans) that they are too elite for Big12
...is hilarious. They are the epitome of "new money."
Hey UU fans, here's the actual scoop:
- You have a good medical school; other than that, your University academics are pretty average.
- You have won the Pac-12 a couple of years; other than that, your sports teams are pretty average.
- Your football team is reasonably well-respected; but your women's gymnastic team is your only national "brand."
- The Big12 already has the SLC television market, adding UU does not change or enhance that in any meaningful way.
