Is a 15 mile MTB trail with 1K feet of climbing harder than 15 miles on the Murdoch Canal? Absolutely.

Is 15 miles from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon to Guardsman Pass more taxing than that MTB ride? Absolutely.

25 miles might take 75-90 minutes for someone in your shape. Try 5x that long.
