The Median age of the population of Utah is 31.9. Half of the people in Utah are under 31. Out of 3.8 million people, half are under 31! The Median age of Provo is 23.9!
The rapidly growing population that you mention are children, not folks who will buy $100 tickets to NHL hockey games. MLB will look at these same demographics and make their decision.
