I'm a fan because my Dad taught me to be a fan. I have lived all over the country and nothing has compared to my BYU fandom.

In my 33 years of life, BYU has made it past the round of 64 twice. Both Jimmer years.

The last time BYU made it past the round of 64 was before my mission.

I'm reaching the acceptance phase of the "BYU is never going to be better than mediocre" of my fandom. My dad has been there for years, and this team has done nothing to revive my hope.

Football has been no better. I haven't felt this bad about the football team since the 2017 disaster.

If wanting success every once in a while and not appreciating mediocrity out of my team makes me fairweather, then fine. Whatever.

My message is that this just sucks. It really does.
