Yes he was. I’ll take the opinions of guys who actually played/coached in the
NBA over dudes behind a keyboard.
Shaq, Iverson, Phil Jackson, Ron Harper, Robert Horry, Tony Parker, Bruce Bowen, Tracy McGrady, Scottie Pippen, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving, all have put Kobe at 1 or 2 on their all-time list. These are just a few. Many of those guys played with Kobe and either Jordan or Lebron. It’s also telling that guys who played with Duncan put Kobe over him. He’s the only guy in NBA history to win back-to-back titles without another top75 player as a teammate.
Kobe is absolutely a top 5 all-time player.
