Because they were both under sized last season.
Taggart was listed as 6’1 230 last year, no way he was 230. He was also playing Mike LB, I’m not sure why he was under sized and he has speed. I’m not sure where he was playing in spring but hopefully it’s one of the outside LB positions.
Glasker was listed at 6’5 225, that’s light for that height and that’s also assuming he was 225. I saw an interview the other day and he said he was up to 233 and wants to be close to 240. I think that added weight and understanding the scheme will help him get on the field and stay there.
Not having Esera will suck, when he played he played as good as any linebacker last year as a first year player. He’s at worst a more than legit backup to Bywater. Best case he starts at Mike or Sam with Bywater and Kelly at he other two spots.
