If Pope is going for BYU players, then UK fans have a right to be "concerned."
UK is known for putting players in the "pros" (NBA/G-League, international, etc.), and I don't see guys on last year's BYU team filling that expectation. Yes, JR could fit that, and MAYBE Hall, but no one else on last year's team. So, if Pope is trying for Richie and Khalifa, then he will struggle at UK (using UK standards for a coach).
Maybe put Chandler in there, but still TBD.
For BYU, JR was going after the year--now he just has another option (NBA or UK). The other guys can be replaced. If we are looking at Falslev, Koz, and Johnson (and maybe even Bahr), then our recruits coming in--including Davis and Chandler--will be replacing what we might lose.
