Car guys: what car buffer do you recommend?
I need to get one. Lots of choices, lots come recommended by websites, but I want actual people's opinions. And how many pads do you need and how often do you change? Thanks.

How often will you be using it? I've had a Harbor Freight model that works well,

Unless you know what you are doing... there is no faster way to ruin your clear coat.

What about hand polishing and buffing?

Are you talking about cleaning? polishing and buffing use abrasives.

No I meant just hand buffing.

What are you using to 'hand buff'? Any polishing compound is basically sandpaper..

The Flex 3401 and Rupes Mark III's are excellent. Hard to go wrong with either.
