We all say that things will catch up to people, but is that really true?

Do you know anyone who is like this that every really has to pay the piper? Seems to me like they might have to sell a car or a house or something but they always find a way to continue spending. And even if they have to now borrow at exorbitant rates, the gravy train of credit never really ends.
