Seattle was in the WCC previously. Seattle made final 4 in 1958
and lost to Kentucky in the title game. The Utes puff their chests about losing the Kentucky for the title, why can't Seattle U. From 1953 through 1969, Seattle U made the NCAA tournament 11 times in 18 years. That is a strong run. Admittedly since then, Seattle U has not been as competitive, but that can change. just look at Gonzaga and St. Mary's. Seattle U is another Catholic school that could turn its program around, much like San Francisco has proud history in the NCAA tournament.

Frankly, I loved being in the WCC. I loved the support from other faith based universities. And I would be happy if BYU filled its pre-conference slate with schools from the WCC, including Grand Canyon and Seattle. Frankly, most WCC teams were better than the schools that Pope scheduled last year in the pre-conference.
