The upside:
Even on the lowest dose I had crazy better calorie control. I am pretty well versed in counting calories and the lowest dose didn’t tank my appetite too much, but made it much more reasonable to count and maintain caloric control. I think at higher doses I could see it totally tanking my appetite to the point I wouldn’t need to count, but I appreciated the “extra boost” from the drug.
The downside:
The bowel slowing is real, and not super great. Caused some intestinal discomfort I had to resolve through Miralax.
I saw a pretty significant increase in my resting heart rate and exercise heart rate. I’m not sure how good that can be long term. When I stopped taking it, my heart rate went back down.
If people are taking this and don’t do resistance exercise, they’re probably burning through muscle like crazy. Sarcopenia is not good.
