But once they own enough practices they exert broad market pressure
It drives down the value of your dental degree. If anyone thinks dentists getting paid less will result in patients paying less 🤣🤣.
It's happening in therapy/ counseling too. Insurance companies and PE are buying practices. Individual contributors/ workers make less and a relatively small number of investors run off with all the money.
