There are good PE firms and bad ones. Personally I’ve been involved on the family office side
Family offices tend to be more adverse to over leveraging.
I also think the lower end deals can be really beneficial to to the existing owners to take profits and then get help growing their companies.
Seems like a lot of issues stem from the really large deals where businesses are mature already.
Of course there are exceptions to everything
