If there is a car going slower than you in the lane to the right, you are good to be in the left lane until there aren’t any cars next to you in the lane to the right.
If there is a car in the lane to the right of you going the same speed as you, you shouldn’t be in the left lane. Speed up or slow down and then move to the right.
If there is no car in the lane to the right of you, you shouldn’t be in the right lane UNLESS there is a car ahead that you will soon pass AND there isn’t anybody behind you. If so, pass that car and move over.
If there is a car in the lane to the right of you going faster than you, then you are a menace in the road and need to immediately move to the right, exit the freeway, and find the nearest driver’s ed facility for remedial driving lessons.
