It's a little helpful.
For me, I believe the best treatment is deciding I don't care about it.
How do I not care that there is a screaming sound in one ear? Well, I lose that battle often.
I have found that the less uptight I am about it, the less it bothers me.

For those of you who have tinnitus, is listening to brown noise helpful?

I wonder if it's just a question of degree.

It's very loud in one side and not so loud in the other

I'm sorry, that sounds really frustrating.

There have been times when I've felt like I'd rather be dead

Same here. One ear is very loud, the other comes and goes.

I’m gonna go ahead and google “brown noise.” My guess: fart sounds.

To me it sounds like a large waterfall from a distance
