This is BYU Athletics.... Not a Church Policy Legislative Session.... I really hope that what you say is happening is not happening... That would be tragic....

At this point I can see only one legitimate reason for not passing a resolution to join the Big 12 and that is if the Conference is held up on the "No Sunday Rule"...

We say we want exposure and we want to strive for Excellence in all endeavors.... Well, if those are in fact our stated goals then we need to put together a deal with the Big 12 yesterday if not last week. At this point, the BYU fan base will be very upset if we end up without an invite.... For myself (who has followed BYU since I was 9 years old, some 50 years ago)I would lose interest in BYU sports big time.... I live out of state and travel around to see BYU play at least three or four FB games a year and about a dozen B-Ball games a year...That would all come to an end for me... I don't want to follow BYU while they play a schedule of both Idaho schools, Weber State, and NM State or SJ State.... I would rather have the University kill the Sports programs than reduce the quality which has come with Independence....

I also hope that potential recruits are paying close attention and don't get themselves marooned on a Listless Athletic Program... It's not fair to them.
