Nobody will deny that BYU must improve their Novemeber schedule stregth, but I'm curious as to why we never heard this argument back in the "glory days":

1980's sample of November games:

1980 north Texas, CSU, Utah
1981 CSU, hawaii, Utah
1882 Wyo, SDSU, Utah
1983 Utep, CSU, Utah
1984 UTEP, SDSU, Utah, Utah State
1985 Utah State,AF, Utah

I took another sample from the late 90's:

1997 Tulsa, TCU, New Mexico, Utah
1998 New Mexico, Utep, Utah
1999 SDSU, Wyo, Utah
2000 CSU, New mexico, Utah
2001 CSU, Wyo, Utah
2002 SDSU, Wyo, New Mexico, Utah

I think we played ND in the month of November around 2003 or 2004, but for the most part the only change to our November schedule "strength" was the removal of Utah. So, I think BYU needs to develop a strong rivalry with a team (played each November). My suggestion is to move the Boise State game to November.
