When you are in a conference race the games with UNM are must wins vs Indy games against Idaho when you're a 2 loss+ team that don't determine anything. That is SGC.

If BYU could put together an Indy schedule that was BCS league quality, but lousy in November then I would be a lot less anxious to get back in a mid-major league. The problem with that is scheduling H-H with middle and upper tier BCS schools has become just about impossible for anyone except Notre Dame.

If the rumors about H-N-H contracts with Nebraska, Penn St, Ohio St had been true then you would not see me complaining. Our schedules are and will be no better than they were in the MWC. We might as well go back to being in a mid-major league.

Also, I'm not so sure that scheduling Boise in November is as simple as just asking. They will be in the middle of trying to win a conference championship. They might want a bye week instead, and their conference may not want to work with them to schedule around BYU every year.
