I think it's hard not to grind an ax when you feel you've been slighted.

I think Holmoe's a much better, more outside-thinking AD than Hale was, but I'm sure Hale was qualified for that job as few others were--so I'm not gonna dog on him personally beyond what I said.

And I'm sure many of the issues Hale covered are things he's glad he doesn't have to wrangle over with the BOT. Being a BYU AD can't be an easy job AT ALL.
