The facilities upgrades and COA stipends were the first salvos in the arms race.
The P5 now guarantee 4-year scholarships that cannot be rescinded for on-the-field performance or if someone better comes along.
They also pay the insurance premiums for 7 years after an athlete leaves the school (and does not enroll in another).
That adds quite a bit in the expense column. Does BYU offer the same?
Those are now recruiting points.
