I agree with you. Anything that takes time away from with your spouse or family

Warrants caution and judgement. I think the generalization is it this more often applies to women than men because women tend to be more social in general and because men tend to get plenty of interaction at work where women (particularly those who are stay at home moms) may feel a bit more isolated.
