I don't know if he is LDS. But he signed LOI. That's binding. Since he didn't enroll, he could go on a mission and not have sit when he gets back. If he doesn't go on a mission, he will have to redshirt or lose a year. Bronco releasing him has no bearing on his eligibility next year.
