Personally, I would not want to play on the team where my Dad was coach
it would be an uphill battle with the rest of the players; frankly I can't see many good outcomes other than wanting to be around your Dad. Either a) His Dad plays him and other players question whether Chasen gets playing time because he is the coaches son and resent him, or b) Dad doesn't play him and then he feels resentful to Dad.

Even if Chasen honestly earns a chance to play, there will always be others who wonder if he got a starting job because he is the coach's son. I would rather go to a program where I am like everyone else and earn my playing time without the possibility of the perception of favoritism.

Maybe I am off base here, and there have been many kids who played with their parents who were coaches, I am just saying that for me personally, I would rather play in a place where there wasn't anybody doing me any favors, that I could earn my accolades on my own merit.
