Wrong on many levels
Whether Jimmer ultimately succeeds at the next level has very little impact on the appeal of the Jimmermania story. They did one on Chris Herren and I don't recall him having a successful NBA career.
Further, to say that few outside the state will remember anything about Jimmer is just ridiculous. Jimmer captivated the nation--that is a fact. I stand by my statement that it was a cultural phenomenon very similar to what Bird did at Indiana St. in 1979. And that is still being talked about today.
