To be considered for this, the player must have come to BYU based on the coaches recruiting him and no coaches sons. Here's what the offense of both teams would look like:
Bronco's recruits
QB Jake Heaps
HB Jamaal Williams, Harvey Unga (NFL), Manase Tonga (NFL), JJ DiLuigi
WR Cody Hoffman, JD Falslev, McKay Jacobson
TE Kaneakua Friel
OL Braden Brown (All-Independent 1st team)
OL Sete Aulai (All-MWC 2nd team)
OL Braden Hansen (All-independent 1st team)
Crowton's recruits
QB Jason Beck
HB Curtis Brown/Fui (NFL)/Rey Brathwaite
WR Austin Collie (NFL)/Todd Watkins (NFL)/Michael Reed/Nate Meikle
TE Dennis Pitta (NFL)/Jonny Harline/Andrew George
OL Ray Feinga (NFL)
OL Scott Young (NFL)
OL Travis Bright (NFL)
OL Jake Kuresa (1st team All-MWC and 2nd team All MWC)
OL RJ Willing (honorable mention All-MWC)
Others: Terence Brown (honorable mention All-MWC) and Jason Speredon (honorable mention All-MWC)
It seems pretty clear that Crowton recruited better in his 4 years on offense than Bronco has in his 9 years. Of course, there are still recruits that are still in the middle of their careers. However, if I had to pick between the two offense, there's no question that Crowton's recruits are better on offense.
