Of Bronco's fourth class, I believe 7 will play next year.
And I think the analysis also ignores the improvement Bronco has made in recruiting since his first four years.

Big difference is oline.

But we were in such a good position at OL that the coach felt it was fine to

At least be fair and include Max Hall, Harvy Unga, Matt & Houston Reynolds,

Pitta was a preferred walk on; I gave Bronco credit for Falslev

In other words you will use whatever criteria you want to support your argument.

Preferred walk-on just means he didn't believe in him enough to give him a

Crowton still recruited him, just like Bronco recruited Falslev and Rich
donnerstag

Yes, and Bronco still recruited the Reynolds brothers, Famika Anae, Hall, & Hill
showmecoug
12/30/13 1:25pm
Hall and Hill were transfers who self-recruited to BYU

I don't know that I'd call running backs a wash
SoCalCoug
12/30/13 12:55pm
Hine has done next to nothing at running back
donnerstag
12/30/13 1:13pm
And Brathwaite had one long run and got kicked out.

12/30/13 1:17pm
Was it an 800 yard run?
donnerstag
12/30/13 1:19pm
No, but it was about 98 - so about 1/8 of his total yards in one run.

Crowton made the mistake of not emphasizing the HC enough to his

That, and trying to force BYU personnel into an unproven & unrealistic mold.

Difference in recruiting or development of players?

Both, agree on both.

You have a very large number of good players missing from your list . . .
viper

Which players would that be?
donnerstag
12/30/13 12:46pm
Van Noy, for one

Got it. You just listed offensive recruits

I may start another thread comparing the defenses

First of all, this was just an offensive overview
donnerstag
12/30/13 12:58pm
Even just at QB, aren't you missing Hall, Hill, Mangum?
viper
12/30/13 1:00pm
Hall and Hill don't qualify; Mangum hasn't played yet
donnerstag
12/30/13 1:01pm
Why don't they qualify?
viper
12/30/13 1:03pm
Then remove Pitta. And I don't know that you can count Harline for Crowton

This whole thread is about who is a better recruiter

A great number of Bronco's recruits...

What about when Olson didn't come back from his mission?
donnerstag

Good point. I would argue that in a sense we were bailed out by Max Hall.
