why should anyone care about total heat increase (which, I think is actually
a bit dubious since it is not clear how much heat is transferred beneath the oceans into the crust) if the air temperature does not change appreciably (something already acknowledged by IPCC) when ocean temps rise? If anything, isn't that just an argument that the earth is able to balance whatever is present on the surface through typical oceanic and atmospheric cycles?

By the way, using the phrase "climate change deniers" is pointless if you are trying to be convincing. Use of the term "climate change" is such a weak copout to begin with. Using the term "deniers" makes you look like a goob with an axe to grind.

Maybe you can explain how the earth cooled in prior years with more CO2 in the atmosphere (per NASA).

Finally, even taking your argument as is, there appears to be credible data that the oceans are not warming, but, rather, are cooling, despite the recent Nina/Nino events.
