I used to be just like the majority of CB on this issue.
I mostly just parroted what I had heard from various sources who I now see had zero credibility on the issue. I just fell in line because that is what people of similar political views were saying. When I decided to separate the science from the politics and investigate the data myself, there really was no way I could justify my old position.
