As much as ESPN has earned the right to pretty much dictate whatever it wants
("earned" as in "thrown gobs of money" at everybody), they still need to keep the schools at least somewhat happy. Otherwise, Fox and others will be more than happy to step in when these contracts expire.


Both the ACC and UVA are not going to want one of their teams beginning a game after 10 PM EST. It's in ESPN's best interest, imo, to ensure that doesn't happen. But that's just my opinion and it very well may happen that the BYU-UVA game winds up on ESPN2 at 10:15 PM EST.
