Let's take a look at the whole picture for once
First. The missionary age gets changed eighteen months ago which causes twice the number of athletes to go out on a mission as normal. These missionaries all come back for the 2015 season which makes a HUGE scholarship crunch. Bronco has stated this for the last two seasons, but nobody seems to listen or believe him.

Second. Now that we have no scholarships for reasons outside Bronco's control, all the arm chair quarterbacks decide that he blew it by not giving some kid a scholarship when he had none to give in that position.

Third. Let's not forget that Bronco has plenty of talent at linebacker and we are currently struggling with depth at OL. Wouldn't it be better for us to offer a top notch OL right now, if we had a scholarship available, instead of a top notch linebacker where we already have plenty of depth? Taking a scholarship from a position of need and giving it to a position with little need is a recipe for disaster.

We just had a great recruiting year and another already on the way. If BYU keeps it up we should have little to complain about in a few years.
