Two quick points, then I'm done
1.) You're assumption that I'm mis-reading you ... I don't think that's accurate or that I'm hearing things, attributing them to you, that you're not saying. In your previous post you said that I seem to be saying that we should always assume the worst in others. That was beyond silly and probably didn't even merit a response. It showed a serious inability to grasp the opposing viewpoint.

2.) More to the point ... I no longer have the exact same viewpoint as I might have previously on this particular issue because new information has been introduced into the discussion. That's fine ,that's to be expected, and, yes, people should always be aware that there might be information out there that explains certain decisions.

HOWEVER, many people seem to be arguing that we can't even ask the question or that we can't even question why Bronco did x, y, or z because we don't have all the info. **THAT** is a seriously stupid position. You even seemed to be saying something pretty close to that previously, though your more recent clarification is much more reasonable. If you want to trust Bronco on this topic because you think he's demonstrated a good track record in this regard, that's at least reasonable. I'm not convinced that his track record is stellar on this point and probably don't grant him the same degree of latitude that you do.

I found it odd that Goatnapper's recent post essentially said "I disagree with the way Bronco and BYU recruit, but I think it's stupid to criticize it or expect it to ever change". I bring this up because it's kind of at the heart of my viewpoint. IF Bronco and BYU do things in a stupid way, then it probably bears discussion and SHOULD change. But too many people freak out 'cause someone criticized the "Lord's anointed football coach".
