I don't think anyone thinks that the coaches never make mistakes. I think the beef that most people have is calling out as a mistake the lack of an offer to some high school kid from Utah County. He might be great, who knows, but the coaches for whatever reason don't think he is worthy of a scholarship to BYU. They have seen this kid multiple times and are more familiar with him than any other school. I don't see why the fact that he doesn't have a scholarship is even worthy of a discussion let alone calling it a mistake.
