Case in point. a couple of decades ago in upstate newyork
a bunch of apple orchard guys were frustrated by all the worms, etc that were eating their apples. Spraying was expensive and they couldn't figure out what to do.

Well some guy had a bunch of pigs and thought, gee wouldn't it be neat if I could let them lose in my neighbor's orchard and eat all those apples that fall on the ground.

The apple orchard owner agreed. Turns out, the fallen apples are a source of food for the worms that were destroying his crop. By letting the pigs eat the apple, he didn't have any worms.

Guess what they used to do, a 100 years ago? yep, that's right, let their pigs loose in the orchards.
