You're right about people who can afford tickets; but I'm not talking about them
I also don't think that every kid in the stadium is there for the same reason.

I'm thinking more about the poor college students who I occasionally give tickets to. Last season I gave tickets to the couple who was renting a basement apartment on our street. They had a young baby. They weren't from Utah, had never been to a college football game, and said they would love to go. They came home half way through the first quarter while I'm playing in the front yard with my kid (ironically). They tell me that the guy behind them shook his head and says to the guy next to him quite loudly, "I can't understand some parents who bring their kids to games" so they left and came back home. So you can see my bias now.

In no way do I disagree with you about kids are going nuts and ruining the atmosphere. Their parents need to take them away. But honestly, I just haven't seen that before although I'm sure it happens.

But if the kids are not a problem, then why judge parents who want to attend a game and bring the kids? If I'm a rabid BYU fan, I would love to indoctrinate my kids if at all possible; and bringing them to a game is one of the best ways.
