Yes to All That Stuff. Why is That so Hard?
All your "are they supposed to" arguments are centered on a perspective of well I'm poor and I have kids but I REALLY like football and I, I, I...

Same garbage rationale that clueless couples, LDS and otherwise, use to justify commandeering restaurants and movie theatres to indulge the stuff they like while jr. can wreck it for the other paying customers, who may be struggling themselves. Poor me. I decided to procreate and am now a struggling young parent, but I really like to do stuff. Therefore, the only option is that everyone else indulge me and whatever ruckus my noisy brat creates. Cuz'...did I mention that I really like to do stuff?

"But they'd never get to go...." Yeah. You don't get to do a lot of stuff when you decide to have kids at a very young stage. I don't see how that becomes other peoples' problem.

I'm a father of three. We did a lot of staying home and watching rentals, enjoying games on t.v. and eating take out back in those days when we didn't want to spring for a sitter or couldn't find one. Or one of us did guys/girls night on occasion. Once in a while, there'd be a date when a relative was around who'd donate his/her services for use of our washer/drier. I'm really trying but can't recall prolonged misery.

If that's all completely foreign, then take your kid. If the kid can hack it without becoming a spectacle or otherwise detracting from the other paying fans' experience, awesome. If not, move both your yewts outside and stay there for as long as it takes. But don't expect folks to accommodate you, because well, you like stuff and it's way better for you that your kid comes along.
