Kyle said he would only leave early if he had a big year and was guaranteed the first round then he talked about shooting. He clearly knows he has to improve his shooting to have a big year, that is why he brought it up.

He never said "I will be leaving early." and left it at that, end of discussion and no contingencies.

He said I will leave early IF I have a big year and will be guarenteed a first year round pick.

If he is guarenteed that, like he said, then it will not be a "mistake" if he leaves early because he will be a first round pick.
