unless you count the Christmas break. I was there 1978 - 1984.
I do know of a case where a couple got "married" with all intentions of staying married. The problem was that they had a friend of the groom marry them. Their rationale was that the groom's friend had been an ordained minister of the gospel in the country where he had served his LDS mission and could theoretically perform marriages there (but never did). They figured that the friend's credentials carried over and made their "marriage" legal. They were wrong.
To their credit, they took their lumps and stayed together, got legally married and had a family.
Tragically, though, years later the groom was killed in a car accident leaving his wife and their 3 small children.
