an hour after birth. For me, the hardest part was hearing the news after the tests were completed. I then had some time to prepare myself leading up to the due date. For my HCBW the tough times came further down the road.

If I had a do over, I wouldn’t try to be so strong, stoic and manly, and above all, I would try to be much more insightful in regards to my wife’s pain. Best of luck to both of you…
