Riley's primary problem was that he thought he was so much better than he was.
He thought he could throw 30 yards into the end zone off his back foot. He thought he could throw accross his body with a defender giving chase. He thought he could take inside linebackers head on without sliding. He thought he could outplay everyone--even with a broken vertabrae. I don't think there is anything he thought he couldn't do.

Had he understood his deficiencies and played within his ability, the team would have been much better.
