No player shall target and initiate contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, fist, elbow or shoulder. When in question, it is a foul. (Rule 2-27-14)

Clearly it was a question. Heck, I had a question when it happened. Fortunately they have replay to get it right. Everything happened exactly the way it's designed to happen. Bills didn't get ejected. BYU didn't get a penalty. And other than a bunch of quibbling from whiny fans, no harm occurred. Great application of the rule. Text book. I bet it's used as an example next year just like another Bills hit was used last year.

Thanks again for proving precisely what I was saying. You're a good man. And I'm sure the countless officials, administrators, coaching staffs and players that were also involved with the process appreciate that you educated yourself on this issue. Good job.
