The score wasn't the issue... (although I would have liked it to be different)
The issue was that is was a perfect 8 seconds to highlight how bad the whole situation was.
- how the team played together
- the QB controversy
- the superstar kid who didn't have the heart
- the fan experience/perception
- etc.
Whether any of these (and the million other issues that this play highlighted) were actually true or not is not necessarily important... the results on the field for a number of games during this time period is what's important. This play summed all that up.
