Heaps endzone fumble = most embarrassing. Nelson breaking his back is the most
catastrophic. It meant an entire season of 'what ifs?' and games where we were only one or two plays away from a win.

Name the single most catastrophic play in the last 5 years for BYU
Indy Coug

Doman not telling Taysom to take a knee.
byubyu
10/2/14 11:46am
why do you have to bring up such bad memories?
Schultz is back
10/2/14 11:46am
because Indy doesn't know how to keep his thoughts to himself.

This one. I cringe just thinking about it. It gives me nightmares still
Schultz is back
10/2/14 11:51am
Good point. Without that the game would have been closer. 47 to 10.

The score wasn't the issue... (although I would have liked it to be different)

That game was very winnable. Down by 7 at half.
jkccoug
10/2/14 1:59pm
I really don't think that is it
Indy Coug
10/2/14 12:00pm
Define "catastrophe" then.

10/2/14 12:04pm
One single play that had more negative impact on the season
Indy Coug
10/2/14 12:06pm
When I think of crappy BYU seasons in recent past, I see that play

What about Nelson missing a wide open Hoffman at ND during their NC season run?

This may be it. BB fumble at Utah is big, but that game wasn't lost on that one
Y05
10/2/14 1:50pm
And that wasn't really a fumble...

That play sucked. Wasn't catastrophic. Catastrophic is a whole season going up
byutx
10/2/14 1:36pm
The sad truth is, even if Hill hadn't gotten hurt, Riley still would have come
Bronoc
10/2/14 1:39pm
Riley Nelson getting his back broken on a meaningless hit vs Weber State

This may be the winner.
PolarisPrime
10/2/14 3:18pm
You have a really good point. Riley, for all of his faults in incapabilities
Schultz is back
10/2/14 3:46pm
He would have been injured later on. He sucked before his back injury
byutx
10/2/14 7:43pm
that was my first thought but then I thought about Mitch Mathews tipped TD catch

Good point. BSU pick six, or the missed block on the 2 pt try
