therefore, .500 is the average record for a football team. Any team above .500 is an above average team IMO.
Another way to look at it, and it may even be a better way to measure, is to say that any team in the top half of teams rated in Sagarin is an above average team.
Either way, BYU is almost always in the top half, if not every single time under Bronco.
