upsets much more likely. Look at baseball as an even more extreme example of that. The best team in the majors who wins the world series may have lost a game or two to the last place team that only won a third of its games. Doesn't matter because it's about the entire season and not just one game. It may not seem fair, but you have to judge everyone within the context of their sport.
