church team "more sophisticated"
Said the guy who never played "junior college" basketball. I'm sure your church team offense is way more sophisticated with all the old high school stars on it. I mean, you had to have played high school ball, right? Besides, I'm sure that run up and down the court stuff wouldn't work...you have a "no layup" rule too.

Honestly, it's what is best. Half court offenses have a much more difficult time scoring against much faster, physical athletic defenders who can switch . The problem is BYU has few athletes. Just watch Boomshakalaka for evidence of that. It was a pathetic display of athleticism. Their best athlete is KC.

Anyway, if I were guarding BYU I would play straight up physical man D with switching all day long. BYU's guards can't even beat opponents' bigs off the dribble (KC is the only decent option)and what big can actually roll and finish well? Mika did decent and has some promise for the future but would you want to run a pick and roll with Austin, Worthington, or Sharp? Heck, I wouldn't want to run even a pick and pop with those guys. The bigs are used only to try to free up the shooters.

Haws scores off fades, curls, etc...but watch him against a team that switches and you'll see his performance isn't as good. He is a great shooter but he can't create his own shot.

So, I understand Rose's need to run to get open opportunities.
