Having a gun in a ready position possibly saved the lives of a Utah county
couple a couple years back during a home invasion.
I agree with most of your post however. Most guns and ammo should be locked up, but personally I don't see anything wrong having one in a closet out of sight and reach just in case. Doesn't mean I'm right, just my opinion.
