"Running in a straight line" says a lot about your expertise & understanding &
appreciation of soccer. Clearly, you are no soccer expert. Not sure about football.
The whole thread started because a couple of posters said the NBA has the world's greatest athletes ( http://www.cougarboard.com/board/message.html?id=13226019 & http://www.cougarboard.com/board/message.html?id=13226173 ). I objected because it seems like a mathematical impossibility for a significant percentage or number of the world's top athletes to be drawn from such a small part of the population (very tall men). So I have not changed the discussion or the argument; that is precisely what we are discussing.
