Also, Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State. You really think that they deserve to go to the NC after losing to a middle of the pack team?
It's absolutely true--Mizzou was not a "middle of the road team in the B12." Go check your facts. Over the past 10 years, they've consistently been one of the best teams in the B12.
Texas A&M had consistently underachieved in the B12...but as I mentioned...the stars aligned with tons of NFL talent and a new head coach with an exciting style of offense. However, now that SEC money is starting to flow into the schools, it's harder to distinguish what impact the SEC has had on these teams.
I simply don't understand how you can argue that the SEC is overrated. Every piece of evidence (anecdotal and statistical) points to how dominant the conference is...
One last point, do you really believe this?
"The only true way to measure it is to prove yourself against your conference for the chance to prove yourself against everyone else. That is the way to get a true champion. SOS and rankings is gymnastics scoring."
If so, do you have Marshall in the top 4?
